Job Description
• Lead the design, development, customization, implementation, and support of Oracle Xstore POS solutions for retail clients, ensuring scalable, high-quality, and business-aligned technical solutions.
• Possess 12+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 4 5 years of hands-on Oracle Xstore POS development experience, including customization, configuration, enhancements, and production support across multiple retail implementations.
• Develop and maintain Oracle Xstore POS applications using Java/J2EE, Oracle Database, SQL, XML, JSON, REST/SOAP Web Services, and related technologies, while integrating Xstore with Oracle Retail applications and third-party enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, QA teams, and client stakeholders to understand business requirements, prepare technical designs, estimate development effort, and deliver robust solutions aligned with retail business processes.
• Lead a team of developers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, enforcing coding standards, mentoring team members, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, support SIT, UAT, and production deployments, and ensure application stability, performance optimization, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of retail POS business processes, including sales transactions, returns and exchanges, promotions, discounts, loyalty programs, gift cards, inventory management, cash management, payment processing, and store operations.
• Work with development and DevOps tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines to manage source code, automate builds, streamline deployments, and support continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Participate in technical architecture discussions, integration planning, solution design, and client workshops while coordinating effectively with onsite and offshore teams to ensure successful project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with Oracle Retail Suite (such as Xstore Office, RMS, or RIB), cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, or Azure), Oracle Retail implementations, and excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive successful retail transformation initiatives.
