Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical systems using schematics and OEM specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, welding, and equipment inspections to prevent future issues.
Troubleshoot complex equipment problems on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery.
Fabricate parts or modify components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
Assist in the assembly and disassembly of heavy equipment components during repairs or upgrades.
Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication about repair status and recommended maintenance procedures.
Skills
Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair highly preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, HVAC systems, and schematics interpretation.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools for electrical systems and automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately.
Experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications.
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, alignment machines, tire service equipment, and other maintenance tools.
Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
