Family or Internal Medicine Physician

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Family or Internal Medicine physician to join its busy and thriving outpatient group practice in Martinsville, Virginia. This opportunity offers a chance to work with a well-established team of physicians and advanced care practitioners in a modern facility. The role focuses on outpatient care with hospital admissions covered by a hospitalist group, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.

Practice Info

• Join an outpatient group practice of 9 physicians and several ACPs
• 28,000 square foot office building with onsite dexa scanning, digital imaging, and a sophisticated lab
• Rotated sub-specialty services include cardiology, orthopaedics, and neurosurgery
• Admissions covered by the hospitalist group at the local community-owned hospital
• Nursing home work is available and optional
• Modern, state-of-the-art office building with an extensive on-site lab and xray suite to include bone densitometry

Responsibilities

• Provide call from home for practice patients, shared equally within the group, currently 1:10

Compensation

• Min Starting Salary: $220,000
• Max Starting Salary: $320,000
• Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary
• Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary
• Productivity-based/RVU Compensation Plan and Bonus Incentive
• Student Loan Forgiveness available
• Student Loan Repayment - support from Carilion Clinic with the opportunity to apply for the Virginia state matching program (VDH) plus a local repayment program with the Harvest Foundation
• Carilion Clinic is also eligible for the PSLF program
• Relocation allowance up to $10,000

Shift & Schedule

• Call Coverage: 1:10/Phone Call Only for Practice Patients
• Each physician enjoys one half-day off each week with a 4 1/2 day work week
