Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Attending

Northwell Health is seeking an experienced Board-Certified/Board Eligible Inpatient Psychiatrist to join their dynamic Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, NY. This impactful role involves leading a dedicated sub-team within a 3-physician-run Adult Psychiatry Unit. The position offers significant opportunities for academic engagement, including supervising and teaching behavioral health trainees, and collaborating with a nationally recognized Psychiatry Research program.

• Zucker Hillside Hospital is a 236-bed behavioral health facility
• Inpatient services include units dedicated to adolescent, college-aged, adult, geriatric, and women’s (perinatal psychiatry) populations
• Treatment specialties include early phase treatment, depression, schizophrenia, peripartum mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar, personality disorders, medical/neurological illnesses with psychiatric symptoms, adolescent, and geriatric psychiatry including Alzheimer's disease and related conditions
• Zucker Hillside Hospital has a 22-bed inpatient women’s unit specializing in treating women with perinatal psychiatric illness

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated sub-team that includes social workers, rehabilitation therapists, and nursing staff
• Supervise and teach diverse behavioral health trainees, such as medical students, residents, and psychiatry track nurse practitioner students
• Collaborate with the nationally recognized Psychiatry Research program
