CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Provider to join a growing team in Alamogordo, NM. This full-time, permanent position focuses on expanding access to Interventional Pain Management procedures and reducing opioid prescriptions. The incoming physician will utilize a new GE ultrasound for high-quality, image-guided procedures.

Practice Info

  • Clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Clinic volume is approximately 20-25 patients per day, with procedure frequency varying based on need.
  • Four procedural days weekly with block scheduling at an onsite surgery center.
  • OR available for higher risk patients.
  • EMR Systems: Athena (clinic), Cerner (hospital); transitioning to Epic in March 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Radiofrequency ablations
  • Perform TOCS (Thoracic Outlet Compression Syndrome)
  • Perform Epidurals
  • Perform Medial branch blocks

Requirements

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Provider
  • MD or DO
  • Background in Anesthesia, will consider Neurology
  • Fellowship-trained in Pain Management
  • Spinal cord stimulator experience is ideal but not required
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced clinic and procedural schedule
