CDL Class A Driver Intermodal Containers, Dry Van and Flatbed

Express Port Logistic LLC is hiring experienced CDL Class A drivers for local and regional routes based in the Houston and Baytown area. Drivers will handle routes throughout Houston, Baytown, and surrounding areas. The position also includes trips to Dallas.

Drivers may operate 40-foot intermodal container chassis, dry vans, and flatbed trailers. Some assignments may involve working in and around Port Houston facilities.

Compensation is $1,500 per week for Monday-through-Friday work, paid weekly.

We are looking for safe, dependable, and professional drivers who can handle tractor-trailer equipment confidently and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.

Primary responsibilities:

- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on local and regional routes.
- Transport 40-foot intermodal containers, dry-van freight, or flatbed freight as assigned.
- Safely back, maneuver, park, and position tractor-trailer equipment.
- Properly couple and uncouple tractors, chassis, and trailers.
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Inspect equipment and promptly report safety or maintenance concerns.
- Follow applicable DOT, FMCSA, port, terminal, and roadway safety requirements.
- Maintain required trip documents and communicate professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Complete assignments throughout Houston, Baytown, surrounding areas, and the Dallas area.

Minimum qualifications:

- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- At least two years of verifiable CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card.
- A current TWIC card or an active application for one. A valid TWIC is required before completing assignments that require entry into Port Houston container terminals.
- Demonstrated ability to back, maneuver, park, couple, and uncouple tractor-trailer equipment safely.
- Experience with 40-foot container chassis, intermodal equipment, dry vans, or flatbeds.
- Regular availability Monday through Friday.
- Ability and willingness to complete Dallas-area routes as assigned.
- Ability to satisfy applicable DOT pre-employment drug-testing requirements.
- Ability to complete the required FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse process and remain eligible to perform safety-sensitive CDL duties.
- Ability to meet the company’s lawful background-screening and motor-vehicle-record requirements.
- Commitment to safe, dependable, and professional driving.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience entering and exiting Port Houston terminals.
- Port or intermodal drayage experience.
- Weekend availability.
- Applicants without port experience may still be considered if they are willing and able to learn.

Schedule and pay:

- $1,500 per week for Monday-through-Friday work, paid weekly.
- Monday-through-Friday availability is required.
- Weekend availability is a plus but is not required.
- Local and regional work includes Houston, Baytown, surrounding areas, and Dallas-area routes.
