Internal Medicine Physician

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join their team across 40+ locations in Houston. This role offers the opportunity to provide coordinated and accountable care within a multi-specialty clinic setting with over 1000 medical providers. Practice Info

• Multi-specialty clinic with 1000+ medical providers in 65 medical specialties
• Full access to several sub-specialists, imaging, lab services, and patient education within the Kelsey-Seybold system
• EPIC electronic health record is used throughout the organization
• Internal Medicine physicians are supported by nursing and administrative staff
• Periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients, typically not requiring overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Examine adult patients 18 years and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions
• Order medically necessary tests
• Perform follow-up visits
• Place referrals to specialists when needed
• Interpret basic medical tests and imaging in planning care for patients

Compensation

• Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $238,500 - $392,500
• Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus
• Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role

Shift & Schedule

• See patients in office from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved training program in the United States
• Licensed in the State of Texas
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
