OB/GYN Laborist
Jackson and Coker is seeking an OB/GYN Laborist for a locum tenens opportunity in Ohio, offering 12-hour shifts. This ongoing position requires coverage for both day shifts and night call, starting as soon as credentialed. The role involves managing a variety of obstetric and gynecological procedures within an inpatient Labor & Delivery setting.
Practice Info
- Practice setting is Inpatient Labor & Delivery + OB/GYN
- One full-time Laborist physician and 1 full-time midwife currently in practice
- Level III nursery
- Support staff includes RNs, CNM
- Onsite lab and ultrasound available
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
- Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies
- Perform vaginal deliveries, forceps deliveries, C-sections, and complicated deliveries
- Perform VBACs
- Repair 3rd/4th degree lacerations
- Perform minor laparoscopic procedures and open surgical gynecology
- Provide ER coverage for unassigned GYN cases

Shift & Schedule
- Start as soon as credentialed (estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days)
- In-House Day shifts: 7a-7p
- 12-14 in-house day shifts needed per month
- Night call (beeper call): 7p-7a
- 7 Night Call shifts needed per month
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Active Ohio license (or willing to obtain)
