Orthopedic Surgeon
Jackson and Coker is seeking a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon for an ongoing opportunity in Kentucky, with potential for a permanent position in 2027. This role involves 24-hour call coverage, daily inpatient rounding, and scheduled clinic hours Monday through Friday, including one day dedicated to OR coverage. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures, excluding spine.

- 44 beds
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage
- Round inpatient for approximately 1 hour daily
- Conduct scheduled clinic hours Monday-Friday
- Provide OR coverage one day per week
- Perform core orthopedic surgery procedures including joints, hips, knees, shoulders, hand, and foot fractures
- Potentially see pediatric patients in clinic

Shift & Schedule
- 14 shifts needed per month
- 24-hour call Monday - Friday, 7a-7p (1-3 hours of call expected)
- Approximately 1 hour of rounding per day in hospital Monday - Friday
- Clinic Day shift: Monday - Friday, 8a-4:30p, with 1 clinic day being OR coverage
- Potential weekend call
Requirements
- Active Kentucky license
- Clean background
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Active Kentucky Medicaid # or willingness to apply ASAP
