Our client is seeking Board Certified OB/GYN physicians for an ongoing locums opportunity at a regional academic medical center in eastern North Carolina. This role involves providing OB Hospitalist coverage, including emergent GYN cases and ED consultations. The position offers flexible scheduling with eleven 24-hour shifts per month.

Practice Info

  • Regional academic medical center serving eastern North Carolina
  • Collaborative department with 24 OB/GYNs, 9 APPS, and CNM support
  • 3,639 deliveries per year
  • Level IV NICU support through Maynard Children's Hospital
  • Average inpatient census: 50
  • Approximately 10% of visits result in admission

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing OB Hospitalist locums coverage
  • Help cover emergent GYN cases
  • Serve as backup support for Emergency Department consultations related to OB/GYN patients
  • Perform Cesarean delivery
  • Perform Obstetric and gynecologic D&C procedures
  • Perform Diagnostic laparoscopy
  • Perform Operative laparoscopy
  • Perform Urgent and emergent gynecologic surgical procedures
