Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens assignment in Connecticut, starting ASAP through December 2026. This role involves a mix of outpatient clinic duties and shared call coverage, providing comprehensive care to adult, geriatric, and OB patients. The position offers an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center with a supportive team, covering a case mix of 60% Hematology and 40% Oncology.

Practice Info

  • Practice setting: 4 days outpatient + shared call coverage
  • Patient population: Adult, Geriatric, OB
  • Case mix: 60% Hematology, 40% Oncology
  • Average outpatient volume: 15–16 patients per day
  • Call volume: 1–5 patients per day (average)
  • Physicians in practice: 3
  • APP support: 2 APPs
  • Radiation oncologists on site
  • Chemotherapy administered by nurse oncologist
  • Facility: Level II Trauma Center
  • Clinical areas include both outpatient and inpatient hematology/oncology
  • EMR: Epic

Shift & Schedule

  • Outpatient clinic: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 1:3 nightly call rotation (evening call)
  • Weekend call: Friday 4:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM

Requirements

  • Board Certification
  • Active Connecticut license
  • BLS
  • Provider must be local
