Anesthesiologist

Jackson & Coker is seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Colorado, providing weekend coverage from October 2026 to July 2027. This role involves working in a Trauma Level I facility with a diverse case mix, including adult and trauma patients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a wide range of procedures and committed to covering at least two weekends per month.

Practice Info

• Practice mix: Adult 80%, Trauma 20%
• Patient population: Mostly adult
• Approximately 60 surgical cases per day
• Case mix includes general, neuro, complex vascular, and complex orthopedic
• 22 operating rooms
• 55 anesthesiologists and 30 CRNA/AAs
• Medical direction model with CRNA/AAs approximately 40% of the time
• Trauma Level I
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Perform central lines and open vascular procedures
• Provide general anesthesia (adult and trauma)
• Manage acute pain
• Administer spinal and epidural anesthesia
• Perform minor nerve blocks
• Conduct central line and arterial line placement
• Perform regional anesthesia surgery
• Handle obstetrical and neurosurgical cases
• Manage complex vascular cases excluding open heart
• Oversee complex orthopedic cases
• Utilize local infiltration and ultrasound-guided block placement
• Manage ventilation
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Administer IV regional anesthesia

Shift & Schedule

• Weekend coverage
• 10/22/2026 – July 2027
• Weekend day shift: Friday - Monday, 7am - 5pm
• Must work 4 days in a row for day shift
• Option to add one additional day shift on Tues or Thurs
• Weekend night shift: Friday - Monday (5pm-7am)
• Max 4 night shifts
• 14 hours in-house, no call, no callback

Requirements

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Colorado license or IMLC LOQ
• Trauma Level I experience (2 years outside of residency)
• Must cover 2 weekends per month
• Must be comfortable with pediatrics
• ACLS, BLS, PALS or APLS
• No first-time locums
