Crystal Run Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a full-time Endocrinologist to join their expanding team in the New York suburbs of Middletown, NY. This patient-centric role offers the opportunity to practice in a well-established, state-of-the-art department, supported by a robust team and extensive resources. The position emphasizes physician-led, patient-centered care within a large, collegial multispecialty group.

Practice Info

  • Fellowship-trained, physician-led, patient centered team-based care environment
  • Stability of an established, reputable practice within a collegial multispecialty group with an exceptionally large referral base of over 400 local providers spanning over 70 medical and surgical specialties and sub-specialties
  • Direct support staff and teams to assist with patient care and workflow, including Nutritionist & Certified Diabetes Educator support
  • Autonomy and independence in practice, including a strong affiliation with local tertiary care hospital(s) that provides a full range of medical and procedural Endocrinology care services
  • Patient census is adult focused (ages 18+)
  • New grads are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, diagnose, and treat full range of endocrine system disorders, which encompasses everything from diabetes to hyperthyroidism to osteoporosis
  • Provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art diabetes care using a team-based approach to care
  • Provide on-site screening for osteoporosis
  • Provide comprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment of all thyroid disorders, including Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, Thyroid nodules, and Thyroid cancer
  • Consult with patients about the status of their endocrine health, while providing them with the latest advancements in care
  • Start days in state-of-the-art, multi-specialty outpatient offices and finish days rounding at the local hospital
  • Refer patients to advanced specialists as needed
  • Examine & diagnose patients, oversight of all treatment prior to and post-surgery and identify associated risks

Compensation

  • $30,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Guaranteed, competitive compensation model based on quality, with significant earning potential, annual increases, and bonus eligibility
  • Potential for buy-in with local ASC's
  • The salary range for this role is $208,000 to $352,000 annually based on full-time employment
  • Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target
  • The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement

Shift & Schedule

  • Desirable Monday - Friday schedules during normal business hours that promote work-life balance
  • Manageable and equitably shared rotating on-call support and local inpatient rounding (i.e., 1:6 to 1:7-week rotations)

Requirements

  • Completion of (or in process of completing) accredited relevant fellowship training program(s)
  • BC in Endocrinology and any additional relevant Endocrine sub-specialties (if relevant)
  • Unrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain)
  • Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficiency / comfort with thyroid biopsies (preferred)
