Pulmonologist

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pulmonologist to join its respected pulmonary practice at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. This opportunity allows for practice in a thriving, community-based setting with the robust support of Houston Methodist, recognized as a leading hospital in Texas. The role is based in The Woodlands, a highly desirable community just north of Houston.

Practice Info

• Practice in a thriving, community-based setting
• No Critical Care responsibilities
• Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital opened in 2017
• The hospital is a 470,000 sq. ft. full-service facility
• Includes 300 inpatient beds, emergency services, advanced operating rooms, and multiple specialty centers
• Campus houses medical office buildings with comprehensive services including cancer care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and wellness programs

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care for a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including thoracic surgeons, oncologists, and respiratory therapists
• Educate and counsel patients and families on conditions, treatment options, and self-management
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements

• MD from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine
• Clinical experience managing a broad spectrum of pulmonary and sleep-related conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
