Academic Nephrologist

Northwell Health's Division of Nephrology is seeking a BC/BE nephrologist to join its academic faculty at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Great Neck, NY. Practice Info

• The division currently has a faculty of 20 nephrologists and a long-standing fellowship program.
• Northwell Nephrology is known for its expertise in clinical research in medical education, POCUS, kidney transplantation, dialysis, anemia and hyperkalemia, outcomes research, COVID-related AKI, onconephrology, and glomerular diseases.
• The program has a successful general nephrology fellowship and specialized fellowships in transplantation and glomerular diseases/onconephrology.
• North Shore University Hospital is an 812-bed teaching hospital academically affiliated with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
• Long Island Jewish Medical Center is a 583-bed teaching hospital academically affiliated with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Compensation

• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience, and productivity.

Requirements

• BC/BE in Nephrology
• Completed U.S.-based internal medicine residency training
• Completed general nephrology fellowship
• Demonstrate the highest level of performance and scientific potential
