Anesthesiologist

UNC REX Hospital in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team. • Based in Raleigh, NC, at UNC REX Hospital
• Part of UNC REX Healthcare, which includes an acute care hospital, emergency care, urgent care centers, wound healing, five wellness centers, and two skilled nursing facilities
• Facility has treatment centers dedicated to surgical services; women’s care; pain management; sleep disorders; neurology; and cancer, heart, and vascular care
• Anesthesiologists and anesthetists work in an anesthesia care team approach

Responsibilities

• Handle case assignments including Cardiac, pediatrics, OBGYN, general, plastics, urology, and vascular
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $425,000
• Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $30,000
• Sign on Incentive: $30,000 sign-on bonus

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
