Position Summary The Forging Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring forging equipment used to form metal into specified shapes such as bolts, heads, blanks, or custom components. This role ensures proper material handling, die alignment, temperature control, product quality, and safe operation in a high-heat, high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities • Machine Operation & Setup • Set up and operate forging machines such as upsetters, headers, or presses. • Install and align dies, tooling, punches, and guides according to production requirements. • Heat material to proper forging temperature using induction heaters, gas furnaces, or electric heating systems. • Monitor forging cycles, machine timing, and material feed to ensure proper part formation. • Load bars, cut lengths, or raw stock into the machine, ensuring proper lubrication and positioning.
