Established Veteran Owned and non-union Treasure Valley Electrical Contractor is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician. Doherty Electric has been in operation since 1971 and is a well-respected company in the Treasure Valley. The ideal candidate must be experienced in residential and commercial electrical devices and systems.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training
Requires education and/or experience to attain the following:

Journey level electricians license and four years of apprenticeship experience performing general electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in a commercial or public facility.

Working knowledge of electrical systems and design; general electrical components such as wires and electrical outlets; electrical circuits; general customer service techniques.

Ability to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of a variety of electrical components and systems; troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues; read blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of Doherty Electric employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates for this position will have:

Current Idaho Journeyman Electrician License
Ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision, to multi-task in a high-paced environment, to communicate effectively
Time management, organization, and prioritization skills
Strong knowledge of NEC and local codes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Critical thinking skills
Ability to continuously learn and self-improve and handle basic arithmetic calculations
Strong work ethic and professional attitude
Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage systems and electrical code

Education and Experience:

Required: Valid Journeyman Electrical license
