the client seeks an inspiring, visionary, student-centered academic leader to serve as its next dean. The dean will lead an institute dedicated to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) learners and will help shape educational pathways while advancing equity in higher education. This role includes steering the institute through an evolving landscape in higher education, technology, and student support, and aligning leadership efforts as strategic priorities are refined, the research enterprise is deepened, and pathways for DHH learners are reimagined. the dean will steward the institute’s academic enterprise by fostering collaboration across the client’s colleges and supporting faculty and staff in pursuing teaching, scholarship, and innovation that advance the institute’s mission. Success will require a seasoned academic administrator with demonstrated scholarly achievement and a strong commitment to inclusive pedagogy and student success. The dean will provide steady leadership for complex academic planning and will apply a forward-looking approach to program evolution, resource stewardship, and institutional direction. Effective leadership in this role will be grounded in empathy, integrity, and curiosity, creating a campus climate where people feel supported. Strong communication skills are essential, including advanced proficiency in American Sign Language and familiarity with Deaf culture and the challenges facing DHH students and graduates. the client will support a search process for complete applications and will consider inquiries, nominations, referrals, and application materials submitted through the designated submission method.
