Department Chair of Pathology
The client seeks an outstanding and dynamic individual to serve as Chair of the Department of Pathology. The department is comprised of faculty dedicated to the tripartite mission of clinical care, education, and research. The Department Chair will lead the department’s organizational mission of healing, education, and discovery, and oversee educational, research, and clinical activities. This includes responsibilities related to educating medical students and supporting graduate medical education through an accredited Pathology residency program, as well as advancing and coordinating clinical care and research efforts. The Department Chair will report directly to the Dean and serve as Service Chief for Pathology for the client’s university health system medical center. The role is expected to provide strategic leadership to ensure alignment across clinical services, training programs, and research initiatives.
