Project Estimator Demolition Concrete Excavation

Duties
Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs for demolition, concrete, and excavation projects.
Develop detailed project estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring precision in pricing and cost management.
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include scope of work, pricing strategies, and schedule considerations.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
Manage project budgets by tracking costs throughout the bidding process and during project execution to ensure adherence to financial targets.
Collaborate with project management teams to review construction plans, identify potential risks or cost overruns, and implement effective cost control measures.
Utilize Xactimate or similar estimating tools to assess material requirements from blueprints accurately.
Oversee the review of construction drawings for compliance with project specifications and identify any discrepancies or potential issues early in the planning phase.
Support project management by providing detailed estimates that inform scheduling, resource planning, and procurement strategies.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within demolition, concrete, or excavation sectors.
Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documents accurately.
Extensive construction site experience coupled with a solid understanding of construction management principles.
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Knowledge of contracts, project management practices, and cost control techniques within the construction industry.
Ability to estimate material requirements from blueprints efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
