Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
  • 1 year of experience working with digital native customers.
  • Experience in data and AI, including generative AI and agentic AI solutions and environments.
  • Experience delivering technical presentations.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently in order to support client relationships in the region and interact with local and international stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with WAN/internet-related technologies and architectures across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud productivity suites.
  • Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems.
  • Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases, or Big Data technologies and containers.

In this role, you will assist your partner sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You will liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share in-depth Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
  • Acquire new logos, create and build customer relationships from scratch, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor on their long-term technology and business decisions.
