Salary: $225,000 $245,000 annual + Equity

Femploy by Infinite Code is recruiting for two Engineering Managers to lead mission-critical product teams for a high-impact FinTech leader in New York City (Hybrid).
This is a high-leverage leadership opportunity for a "Product-First" manager who excels in high performance engineering cultures. We are looking for technical leaders with a Staff-level engineering background to own the development, architecture, and people-growth for squads of 5 8 engineers.
This role is perfect for a manager who stays close to the code (Python/TypeScript/AWS) while driving
predictable, high-quality product delivery.

Set Technical Direction
• Drive architectural decisions with clear reasoning
• Ensure systems are scalable, well-documented, and maintainable
• Stay close to the code through reviews and technical discussions
Reliability & Ownership
• Build observable, resilient systems with clear ownership
• Lead incident reviews and ensure root-cause resolution
• Continuously improve system reliability and performance
Create Leverage
• Remove blockers and reduce ambiguity for your team
• Improve engineering velocity and effectiveness
• Build processes and systems that scale beyond your direct involvement
Core Requirements
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• 2 3+ years in engineering leadership (managing 4+ engineers)
• Proven track record of shipping impactful products end-to-end
• Experience navigating ambiguity and making strong product/technical tradeoffs
• Demonstrated success in developing and growing engineers
• Technical Environment (Nice to Have)
• Experience with Python (Flask), TypeScript
• Familiarity with Temporal, PostgreSQL, AWS
• Exposure to event-driven architectures
Ideal Profile
• Former senior individual contributor (e.g., Staff Engineer) turned manager
• Still hands-on: involved in code reviews and technical decision-making
• Experience in high-performance engineering cultures
• Strong product mindset with deep technical judgment
