About the Opportunity:

We are seeking experienced Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCPs) to provide respiratory therapy services within California correctional healthcare facilities. Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 continuous months of respiratory care experience within the last 3 years in a public or private healthcare setting performing similar duties.
- Current and valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License issued by the Respiratory Care Board of California.
- Current credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program approved by CoARC (or predecessor JRC-RTE).

Responsibilities:

- Provide respiratory therapy services following evidence-based clinical practices.
- Assess patients and perform respiratory evaluations.
- Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory treatments.
- Set up, monitor, and educate patients on respiratory therapy equipment.
- Monitor patient response and document treatments accurately and promptly.
- Maintain complete and timely medical records in accordance with facility policies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of respiratory therapy procedures and protocols.
- Evaluate respiratory equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
- Attend required in-service education and mandatory training programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
- Perform additional respiratory care duties as assigned by the institution.
