Primary Focus
Raising Awareness About Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence and Expanding Access to Community Opportunities

The primary purpose of this internship is to increase awareness about artificial intelligence and ensure that communities understand how AI can be used to strengthen their missions, improve their work, and create positive social impact.

This internship exists because many communities remain:
unaware of AI opportunities,
underrepresented in conversations about emerging technologies,
and disconnected from resources that could help them thrive in the future economy.

The internship is built around one simple belief:
Everyone deserves the opportunity to understand and benefit from new technologies not just those who already have access.

Why This Internship Exists
Voice Up's Community AI Consultation Initiative provides:
Up to $10,000 in free AI consultation for selected nonprofits.
Up to $1,000 in free AI consultation for selected entrepreneurs.
Up to $1,000 in free AI consultation for selected small businesses and mom-and-pop shops.

However, opportunities only matter if people know they exist.
This internship helps close that gap.
Interns serve as community educators, storytellers, and ambassadors who ensure these opportunities reach organizations and communities that may otherwise never hear about them.

Position Summary
The Community AI Awareness & Community Impact Intern serves as a:
Community Educator
Helping people understand AI in practical and understandable ways.
Community Connector
Helping organizations discover opportunities and resources.
Community Storyteller
Sharing examples of technology creating positive change.
Community Advocate
Ensuring that overlooked communities have access to new opportunities.

Community Researcher
Studying how human-centered AI can improve organizations and communities.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Community AI Awareness Campaigns
Develop educational materials.
Create presentations and workshops.
Produce social media content.
Develop newsletters and informational resources.
Explain AI concepts in plain language.

2. Global Charity Nomination Initiative Outreach
Support the Global Charity Nomination Initiative by:
Promoting the nomination campaign.
Identifying deserving organizations.
Building relationships with community leaders.
Encouraging nominations from underserved communities.
Helping organizations understand the opportunities available to them.

3. Community Engagement
Conduct informational sessions.
Support webinars and presentations.
Build partnerships.
Engage with nonprofits and small businesses.
Facilitate conversations about AI and community impact.

4. Storytelling & Case Study Development
Interview community organizations.
Document success stories.
Create case studies.
Share examples of organizations using technology to serve people better.

5. Research & Thought Leadership
Study trends in AI adoption.
Review ethical AI practices.
Explore barriers to technology access.
Develop recommendations that support community innovation.

6. Community Impact Measurement
Assist in measuring:
Organizations reached
Communities engaged
Nominations submitted
Educational sessions conducted
Partnerships established
Awareness outcomes

The Credential That Proves Human Value in the Age of AI
As artificial intelligence accelerates through nearly every sector of the global economy, universities, employers, and policymakers are confronting a difficult truth: many of the credentials we rely on to signal readiness no longer clearly demonstrate value. Degrees still matter but in an era where AI can generate text, analyze data, and automate tasks at unprecedented speed, the question has shifted from what do you know? to what can you actually create that matters?
A new education and workforce initiative called Voice Up is positioning itself at the center of this shift, not by competing with traditional degrees, but by addressing a gap they were never designed to fill. Drawing on NIH-grade research methods, Voice Up has developed a credential that certifies something increasingly rare and valuable in the AI era: the demonstrated ability to turn purpose into real economic and social contribution.
