We are seeking an experienced, advanced-level Senior Cloud and AI Architect to join our team for a contract engagement. This role focuses on the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and ethical AI solutions to support public service missions.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in AI/ML with strong architectural leadership to modernize operations, improve citizen engagement, and drive data-informed decision-making. You will be responsible for designing and developing IT architecture, AWS cloud implementations, and advanced AI/ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to support multiple teams and projects.
• Mentor other architects on best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend AI platforms, frameworks, and tools (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, PyTorch).
• Design secure and compliant AI/ML solutions within public cloud or hybrid environments.
• Analyze and implement architectural solutions, including application modernization.

Qualifications
• Experience: 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years of enterprise, full-life-life-lifecycle architecture experience in the professional services industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent professional work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with generative AI (GenAI), LLM deployment, and chatbot development.
• Familiarity with public sector security and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST AI RMF, NIST 800-53).
• Experience with AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI frameworks.
• Prior work with digital transformation programs.
• Additional certifications in cloud architecture or AI specialties (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Technical Expertise:
• 5 8 years of hands-on technical application architecture experience, including application build and modernization.
• Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications to operate in AWS environments.
• Strong technical background in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable AI/ML solutions in public or hybrid cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services).

Required / Desired Skills
• Experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind the design of applications, solution architecture, and underlying information technologies Required - 10 Years
