Fuel Tank Quality Program Specialist

Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to the following:
• Manage and support quality stabilization activities for automotive fuel tank programs supplied to OEM customers, including Kia and Hyundai.
• Analyze production quality issues in blow molding, welding/fusion, robotic welding, and assembly processes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) activities by identifying root causes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving continuous quality improvement.
• Monitor defect trends, PPM data, and production quality metrics to improve manufacturing performance and process stability.
• Review product drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering data, and design changes using Teamcenter/PDM.
• Utilize Teamcenter/PDM, SAP, IMDS, ModView, and FARO systems to analyze engineering, production, and quality data supporting fuel tank manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate customer quality activities for Kia and Hyundai programs, including investigations, corrective actions, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Apply technical knowledge gained from existing fuel tank programs to support new product launches and mass production activities.
• Prepare quality reports, defect analyses, and customer documentation while maintaining accurate quality records.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering or technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, fuel tank production, quality control, production quality, manufacturing process analysis, or related industrial operations.
• Hands-on experience with Teamcenter/PDM and SAP for managing engineering data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), production information, and manufacturing quality processes.
• Preferred experience with IMDS, ModView, FARO, or comparable engineering, manufacturing, and quality management systems.
