Orthodontic Assistant

Full Time Orthodontic Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant (OA/RDA) - $30 to $35/hr + Medical, 401k and Paid Time Off!

Our warm, welcoming and family friendly orthodontic practice, located in Encino, CA, is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant (Registered Dental Assistant or OA) to join our team full time.

The ability to understand and communicate well with others is essential.

**5 years Orthodontic Dental Experience is required**

Schedule

4 days/week - Schedule will be given in advance

Hours

Mondays - Fridays: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Location

The Orthodontic Assistant will work in both our Encino & Porter Ranch offices.

Compensation: $30 to $35/hr (Based on experience)

Requirements

• Must have California RDA License and/or California Orthodontic Assistant License
  • Active California RDA License
  • Active California Orthodontic Assistant License - Preferred
• 5+ years Orthodontic experience - Required

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the clinical team
• Manage inventory and ensure supplies are stocked and organized
• Work closely with the doctor and office manager to improve scheduling, patient flow, and overall workflow efficiency
• Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use
• Taking intraoral X-rays of patients’ mouths
• Taking photographs of patients’ teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progress
• Taking dental impressions of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers
• Bonding braces
• Placing Invisalign attachments
• Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, o rings, and elastic bands.
• Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare
