Salary: $225,000 $435,000/yr
Schedule: Full-time Hybrid

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Patent Litigation Associate to support one of the nation's premier patent litigation practices. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and life sciences matters involving district court litigation, PTAB proceedings, ITC investigations, and Federal Circuit appeals.
You will work alongside leading trial attorneys, technical experts, and major technology clients while gaining significant responsibility on high-stakes patent disputes from early case strategy through trial.

Key Responsibilities

Handle patent litigation matters across the full litigation lifecycle
Support district court litigation, ITC investigations, and PTAB proceedings
Draft claim construction and Markman briefing
Participate in dispositive motions and Daubert challenges
Conduct and defend fact and expert witness depositions
Manage discovery and case development activities
Collaborate with technical experts and trial teams
Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
Support complex technology, software, semiconductor, wireless, and life sciences matters

Qualifications & Requirements:

U.S. Work Eligibility Required
Education & Experience:
JD from a top-tier or nationally recognized law school
2 6 years of patent litigation experience
District court, ITC, or PTAB patent litigation experience
Experience with claim construction, discovery, and motion practice
Trial team or deposition experience preferred
STEM degree required (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred)
Advanced STEM degree preferred
Patent Bar admission preferred

Technical Skills & Competencies:

Strong patent litigation and legal writing skills
Deep technical fluency in engineering, computer science, or life sciences
Ability to analyze complex technical subject matter
Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
Ability to work independently within lean litigation teams

Working Conditions:

Hybrid work environment
Must be located in or willing to relocate to Austin, Dallas, or Houston
Collaborative litigation teams handling high-profile patent disputes
