Engineer (0024-0010)
Responsible for engineering support on various aircraft systems and improving associated reliability through project management; Investigate aircraft and component problems which may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determines appropriate corrective actions; Provide mechanical engineering support for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components in order to restore serviceable status; Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems; Develop action plans for fleet and multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursues final dispositions according to assessed priorities; Coordinate with other airline departments to provide for effective and efficient implementation of mechanical engineering dispositions; Prepare mechanical engineering-related documents to implement technical dispositions by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections or other maintenance actions which provide benefits in accordance with airline and departmental objectives and management directives; Maintain knowledge of current and pending regulations, which affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all mechanical engineering actions maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; Coordinate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities and ensure that mechanical engineering dispositions are properly substantiated in accordance with applicable regulations and Company manuals; Develop customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions which are not adequately addressed in existing manuals.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.

Education and Experience Requirements
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of experience as Engineer, Analyst, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, and demonstrated experience in: Airline Technical Operations; Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Microsoft K2; Tableau; Aircraft Maintenance Manuals; FAA, IOSA, and OSHA regulations; CFR Part 5, Part 121, and Part 145; ICAO Standards; Change Management; Root Cause Analysis; Safety Management Systems; Project Management; Safety risk management; and Data analysis. A bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
