Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of sales and commercial leadership experience as CMO leading brand or agency (brand or CPG related) strategies.
  • 15 years of experience in sales and commercial business-to-business leadership.
  • Experience in customer partnership, building partners results in partnership settings.
  • Experience working in multinational environments and matrixed organizations, leading cross-cultural teams.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in CPG, healthcare and finance.
  • Experience working with large businesses and agencies in digital or online marketing.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading large teams that consist of multiple levels of management and driving change with executive stakeholders across diverse and complex markets.
  • Ability to partner with executive leaders across multiple geographies.
  • Ability to attract, retain, and develop talent in the marketplace.

About the job

As the Director Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Healthcare and Finance, Large Customer Sales Germany you will lead the growing Industries CPG, Healthcare and Finance (as a sub-sector) within the sector Enterprise. You will act as a lead seller for ads, key opinion leader, grow partnerships representing Google externally beyond ads and cross-channel in multi billion industries, and work with some of the largest German companies globally.

In this role, you will be responsible for this broad range of German industries. The industries align in highly brand driven businesses and decision makers within companies of large brands. Many of the customers in these industries are Google Priority Partners and global clients, with particularly complex OneGoogle relationships across (e.g., Ads/Cloud/Android/Hardware etc.). You'll be a core driver of business growth, thought leadership within these industries and grow these complex OneGoogle relationships and joint strategy plans. You will be at the forefront of driving AI transformation with the C-suite of some of Germany’s largest (DAX) companies (in close collaboration with our Partnerships and Cloud teams for some of the clients).

As the primary advocate and lead seller for your sector, you will communicate market opportunities, voice product priorities, and set transparent regional objectives. You will motivate a large team to grow significant client businesses and will work cross-functionally to develop strategic client relationships that drive high growth. This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in German with local stakeholders.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Germany: €200000 - €205000 (EUR) + 80% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategy for driving ad sales and business growth with all advertisers in your category on a national/international level in a highly competitive environment.
  • Establish and execute revenue strategies, account plans, and joint strategic plans by nurturing C-level relationships to address client needs and uncover new business opportunities in your vertical.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and deliver AI-powered marketing solutions through a culture of excellence and consultative selling.
  • Collaborate closely with the InCountry leadership team and in the hub as an integral part and contributor to our sector strategy, business planning and management group as part of a oneSector approach.
  • Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Google’s products and services. Ensure full compliance to Google strategies, standards, policies and best practice.
