HR Assistant
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and HR-related communications while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
Maintain and update employee records, files, and HR databases.
Process employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and personnel forms.
Support benefits enrollment and employee benefits administration.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Track employee attendance, leave requests, and timekeeping records.
Assist with payroll preparation and data verification.
Prepare HR reports, presentations, and documentation as needed.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and confidentiality requirements.
Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and company events.
Assist with performance management and employee relations activities.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
1 2 years of administrative, office support, or HR-related experience preferred.
Entry-level candidates with relevant education or internship experience may be considered.
Skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
HR certification (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
