Resident Solutions Architect (0059-0010)
Job Description
Acceldata, Inc., Campbell, CA, seeks to hire Resident Solutions Architects (multiple positions available) to perform the following duties:
1. Developing scalable architectures tailored to customer needs using cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Apache Hadoop, and modern distributed systems, while providing technical support on Java-based Opensource tools, Hadoop, integrated analytic tools such as Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), YARN, Mapreduce, Spark, and Hive.
2. Assessing and integrating cutting-edge cloud platforms, data storage options, and processing frameworks to maximize performance and reliability, using Java, Kubernetes, dockers, and public or private cloud setup.
3. Utilizing infrastructure-as-code and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency across environments.
4. Conducting in-depth evaluations of client environments to align architectural designs with business objectives and operational requirements.
5. Providing technical consultation to customers and internal teams, recommending best practices for technology selection, system integration, and architecture optimization, using experience in Java applications and Open Source software.
6. Collaborating with stakeholders to create comprehensive technical roadmaps that incorporate emerging industry trends and evolving customer needs.
7. Acting as the primary technical liaison, working directly with client teams to define requirements, set performance benchmarks, coordinating across the full deployment lifecycle, and ensuring a smooth transition from planning to production.
8. Overseeing post-implementation support by troubleshooting integration issues and guiding customers through performance tuning and system optimization.
9. Gathering real-world insights from deployments and customer interactions to continually refine technical strategies and solution offerings.
10. Working closely with client technology teams and delivering significant business impact.
11. Building, testing, and demonstrating proof-of-concept models, and automating with open source Ansible and python, that validate architectural designs and showcase practical benefits of Acceldata’s solutions.
12. Preparing detailed reference architectures, technical blueprints, and demonstration materials tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
13. Using rigorous testing and performance benchmarking to validate system scalability, reliability, and overall effectiveness under various operational scenarios.
14. Continuously monitoring deployments using advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or integration challenges including troubleshooting networking issues in Linux or Windows environment.
15. Developing and implementing strategies for performance tuning and resource optimization based on quantitative data and customer feedback.
16. Leading efforts to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments, collaborating with engineering teams to implement robust, long-term solutions, using experience in Linux system maintenance, Logical Volume Manager/Veritas Volume Manager (LVM/VxVM) file system management, and Operating System (OS) patching.
Education and Experience Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information systems, or a related field plus five (5) years (post degree, progressive) experience in the job offered or related.
Special Skills Requirements
Experience must include: a. Providing technical support on Java based Opensource tools, Hadoop, integrated analytic tools such as HDFS, YARN, Mapreduce, Spark, and Hive. b. Using Java, Kubernetes, dockers, and public or private cloud setup. c. Automating with open source Ansible and python. d. Experience in Java applications and Open Source software. e. Experience in Linux system maintenance, LVM/VxVM file system management and OS patching. f. Troubleshooting networking issues in Linux or Windows environment. g. Coordinating across the full deployment lifecycle.
Travel Requirements
Will travel 5% nationally to meet with clients and visit client sites

Salary
$230,000 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F.
