Client: Sterling Infrastructure Inc. (Texas Sterling Construction)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead hard bid estimating efforts for DOT
and heavy civil roadway projects across the Houston market and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bid proposals for heavy civil and roadway
projects
• Review plans, specifications, quantities, subcontractor quotes, and production rates
• Estimate projects involving asphalt/concrete paving, road widening, drainage, earthwork,
and bridge construction
• Partner with operations and project management teams throughout the bidding process
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy development, risk assessment, and value
engineering initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
4+ years of heavy civil/highway estimating experience on projects valued between $5M
$30M
Strong experience with paving, roadway reconstruction, drainage, excavation, and bridge
projects
Expertise in quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and material pricing
3+ years of experience with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bid2Win, AGTEK,
Primavera, or similar platforms
Proficiency in Civil 3D, Excel, and construction management software
No security clearance required
