Financial Analyst (0019-0030)

Further Zipcar’s business interests by assessing the pricing needs of Zipcar’s business segments and ensuring the pricing strategies are effectively implemented. Advise clients on aspects of capitalization, such as amounts, sources, or timing. Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions. Evaluate capital needs of clients and assess market conditions to inform structuring of financial packages. Employ financial models to develop solutions to financial problems or to assess the financial or capital impact of transactions. Collaborate on projects with other professionals, such as sales executives, accountants, or financial planning and analytics experts. Present oral or written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries. Draw charts and graphs, using computer spreadsheets, to illustrate technical reports. Position is fixed based in the Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in pricing and business intelligence. Experience must include:

Five (5) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Developing dashboards (Looker or Tableau) to facilitate analysis of key business actions

Three (3) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Experience in pricing, yield or revenue management

- Developing pricing models to optimize margin growth

One (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Using SQL to generate datasets

- Advanced Excel, financial modelling and planning/forecasting skills

- Developing revenue forecasts.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
