Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, steering, brakes, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments.
Service and maintain vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs to ensure optimal performance.
Repair or replace critical components such as air brakes, diesel engines, auto body parts, and perform welding as needed to restore vehicle integrity.
Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, or replace parts following manufacturer specifications and schematics.
Diagnose electrical system issues involving automotive electrical systems and implement effective solutions.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice to enhance vehicle longevity.
Requirements
Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance across diverse vehicle types.
Dealership experience highly preferred; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
Solid mechanical knowledge including transmissions, diesel engines, auto body repair, and automotive electrical systems.
Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), air brake systems, wheel alignment equipment, and suspension components.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service machinery safely and effectively.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Valid certification in automotive repair or relevant technical training; ASE certification is advantageous.
