Accountant

Accountant requires:
• 2-4 years’ accounting/auditing experience
• State government accounting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or compensatory experience working in the accounting field
• Broad knowledge of federal, state and agency budgeting and fiscal policies and procedures
• Extensive knowledge of agency organization and function
• Thorough knowledge and the ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
•
• Thorough knowledge and the ability to apply Generally Accepted Audit Standards and related theories
• GAAP
• Thorough knowledge of Governmental Accounting
• GAAS
• Euna financial & grannts software experience.
• PeopleSoft
DUTIES:
• Reconcile projects

• -Audit project activities from the past to correct the activities by project

• -ProcessJournal Entries as needed

• -Reconcileand request assigned projects to be closed upon completion

• -Engagein comprehensive reviews of financial data

• -Processrevenue transactions within PeopleSoft as needed

• -Reviewand understand Notice of Awards and Grant Requirements as they relate to the reconciliation of grants/projects
