Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service while supporting water operations and customer account management. In this position, the successful candidate will possess strong customer service skills while managing various aspects of customer accounts in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner, ensuring a positive experience for all water users and landowners. The current vacancy exists in the Customer Accounting Department at the Fresno Office and normal working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch. Core responsibilities include receiving, assembling, analyzing, adjusting, and processing data for use in the preparation of monthly invoicing for agricultural, municipal and industrial accounts; collecting and processing information related to surface water orders and reporting estimated surface water delivery data to Federal and State agencies; monitoring and billing power usage across multiple platforms, analyzing trends, and ensuring accurate billing of kilowatts used by customers; receiving, reviewing, and processing daily water orders and annual water allocation applications; maintaining accurate records of water usage and allocations for each customer, including initial allocations, transfers, overuse, and releases; contributing to financial operations by managing accounts receivable, processing cash receipts, monitoring aging reports, and assisting with the collection of delinquent accounts. The position requires strong analytical and organizational skills; incumbent will be responsible for compiling, merging, and analyzing data to general reports using various systems, including Microsoft Excel, and will perform calculations, support general ledger and water supply account reconciliations, and assist in evaluating and improving both manual and automated accounting systems.
