***Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (PST)

We are seeking an experienced Tester to provide advanced testing support, guidance, and expertise for a critical health insurance marketplace transition project. The selected candidate will support both agile and traditional delivery teams by designing, executing, and validating user acceptance testing (UAT), while collaborating closely with business stakeholders to ensure systems meet requirements and deliver expected business value.

Key Responsibilities
• Requirements Analysis: Review and analyze project requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for clarity, completeness, and testability.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and update test plans outlining scope, approach, schedule, resources, and risks; maintain the requirements traceability matrix (RTM).
• Test Design & Execution: Create and maintain comprehensive test cases and scenarios; execute manual UAT, log test results, and validate functional/non-functional requirements.
• Defect Management: Log defects with clear reproduction steps; participate in triage sessions to determine priority, severity, and business impact; retest fixes to confirm resolution.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to test process improvements, document testing best practices, and identify candidates for test automation.
• Collaboration: Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies (planning, standups, demos, retrospectives); provide regular test metrics, summaries, and status reports to stakeholders.
• Specialized Testing: Support integration, load, performance, security, and accessibility testing as required.

Requirements
• Strong understanding of UAT processes, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into effective, complex test scenarios and cases.
• Proficiency with modern test management and defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), security testing fundamentals, and performance considerations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage risks effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
• Experience in a government or highly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework).
• Experience with test data preparation and management.

Work Conditions
• This is a remote position; the candidate must provide their own adequate office equipment, high-speed internet, and connectivity.
• The role may involve tight deadlines during release cycles and requires coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Offshoring of services is not permitted.
