Position Title: Superintendent, E&A

Job Description:

Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan and customer requirements. Work on Marine Vessels and Power Plant Automation systems such as PLC, WOIS, and sWOIS. Work on Wartsila Engine control systems such as WECS, UNIC and different Wartsila engines. Work on plant Electrical control system and protection system. Perform advanced troubleshooting on equipment families. Troubleshoot and problem solve on Plant Automation system. Troubleshoot, tune and problem solve on different Wartsila Engines. Troubleshoot on plant electrical control system and auxiliary system. Act as system commissioning engineer and lead the related commissioning activities. Lead and manage assigned team and related activities during the work execution. Interact with customers during the work execution, including conducting introduction meetings. Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work. Create the Service Work Reports after completion of service activities. Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures. Proactively advise and promote available products and solutions to customers. Inspect completed work to ensure that maintenance is completed correctly, and machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards. Prioritize and assign tasks so that team resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Act as Lead Subject Matter Expert on problem-solving and root cause analysis. Conduct incident reporting, analysis, investigations, and action plan implementation related to the area of responsibility. Provide theoretical and on-the-job training for subordinates’ development. Position is fixed location based in Fort Lauderdale office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Work at unanticipated client sites as assigned.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in 4 stroke engines, automation and power generation systems.

Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

Installing and maintaining engine auxiliary systems

Operating power generators

Troubleshooting engine control systems

Must have four (4) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

Programming and troubleshooting PLC automation systems

Installing LNG installations

Must have three (3) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

Calibrating and troubleshooting speed governors

Testing and inspecting distribution switchboards

Monitoring propulsion control systems

Maintaining variable frequency drives

Experience may be gained before, during or after the attainment of an advanced degree.
