Mobile Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and customer-oriented Mobile Mechanic to join our team. Unlike a traditional shop-based role, you will bring the garage directly to our clients servicing vehicles at their homes, workplaces, or roadside locations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills, works excellently without direct supervision, and takes pride in delivering high-quality automotive repair and exceptional customer service on the go.

Key Responsibilities
On-Site Diagnostics & Repair: Travel to customer locations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicle makes and models.

Routine Maintenance: Perform standard fluid changes, brake replacements, tune-ups, tire rotations, and battery diagnostics/replacements on-site.

Customer Service: Explain diagnostic results, repair options, and cost estimates clearly to customers. Provide a friendly, professional experience from arrival to payment.

Mobile Workshop Management: Maintain, organize, and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are stocked and in good working order.

Parts Procurement: Order, pick up, or manage inventory for parts required to complete daily jobs efficiently.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, ensuring environmentally safe disposal of automotive fluids and maintaining a clean work area at the customer's location.

Digital Documentation: Utilize a smartphone or tablet to log repair orders, upload diagnostic reports, track mileage, and process customer payments.

Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum of 3 5 years of professional automotive repair experience (experience as a field technician or mobile mechanic is a major plus).

Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficient in using modern diagnostic equipment, scanners, and digital automotive software.

Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record check required).

Soft Skills: Strong time-management skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent independent communication skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold), and bend, kneel, or stand for extended periods.
