Veterinary Assitant for Private Practice in Berks County, PA

Looking for an EXPERIENCED Small Animal Vet Assistant

We are privately owned. Cat Friendly but also see pocket pets and dogs.

FULL TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS PACKAGE (Part Time CONSIDERED)

You'll need to be a team player, have strong problem-solving skills, and be dependable and flexible with scheduling.

Compassion, a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are required.

Duties Include:
-Animal Restraint and dealing with fearful animals
-Drawing up and Administering Vaccines
- Drawing blood
-Processing in-house lab samples
-Ability to take vitals and perform treatments
-Check in/out clients, take medical history, document communications and process payments
-Fill prescriptions and administer medication via various routes
-Assist in surgery and dentistry
-Discharge patients and instruct clients on home care
-Assist in cleaning the hospital
-Help Answer phones and make appointments (Cross-training is required)
