We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Operations Informatics Specialist to serve as a vital bridge between medical staff, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and clinical data analytics. This is a clinical-facing role focused heavily on workflow improvement, clinical data validation, and enhancing the end-user experience across health services.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal EHR and technical configuration teams to ensure data integrity, streamline processes, and translate complex clinical data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making.

Core Responsibilities
• Clinical Workflow Documentation: Analyze and document current workflows in a multidisciplinary care setting; identify operational gaps, establish a documented workflow inventory, and provide prioritized improvement recommendations.
• Data Extraction, Analysis & Visualization: Pull and structure data from the EHR to answer live clinical and operational questions. Validate findings against reliable external data sets and build intuitive reports and dashboards to support evidence-based leadership decisions.
• Validation & Testing: Lead EHR update validations from the end-user perspective. Provide consistent testing coverage of the base system, Medication Administration Records (MAR), and related components to minimize validation gaps.
• Direct Clinical Support: Act as the primary, highly responsive clinical point of contact for EHR-related inquiries, ensuring seamless knowledge handoff and continuity of processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Medical Vocabulary & Data Structuring: Deep understanding of medical vocabularies from both a clinical and informatics perspective. Proven ability to independently structure unclassified, unstructured medical text and map data elements to standard vocabularies for interoperability and clinical decision support.
• EHR Data Expertise: Extensive experience extracting data from EHR systems and answering complex clinical questions through data triangulation and validation.
• Standards & Implementation: Strong background applying national EHR standards to products and standardizing processes around EHR system implementations.
• Communication & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to communicate technical and data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including frontline medical staff and executive leadership.
• Clinical Background: Active or prior background in Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a closely related clinical field is strongly preferred.
• Environment Experience: Prior experience in institutional healthcare, correctional healthcare, or highly constrained, multidisciplinary clinical environments is highly desired.
• System Experience: Practical experience utilizing EHR systems in a direct clinical capacity.

Required / Desired Skills
