We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Administrator to provide specialized network and cybersecurity support across multiple environments. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the maintenance of secure, compliant, and modernized network infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling everything from daily operational firewall requests to critical hardware lifecycle upgrades and strict compliance maintenance. This position mirrors the availability of a full-time staff member, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities
• Firewall & Incident Management: Review, prioritize, and execute Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal network change requests daily.
• Infrastructure Modernization: Facilitate and manage the decommissioning, replacement, and "refresh" of End-of-Life (EOL) network hardware on a recurring basis.
• Compliance & Security Controls: Implement precise security controls and system configurations to ensure networks remain strictly aligned with applicable compliance standards.
• Hardware Administration: Provide expert technical configuration, optimization, maintenance, and rule management for Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.

Technical Qualifications
• Palo Alto Firewalls: Proven proficiency with next-generation firewall features, including Zones, Security Policies, Site-to-Site (S2S) VPNs, NAT configurations, and basic threat prevention.
• Cisco ASA Firewalls: Strong operational knowledge of legacy Cisco ASA configuration, hands-on troubleshooting, and rule/policy management.
• Core Networking: Solid foundational knowledge of general networking principles, including routing protocols, subnetting, and the OSI model.

Operational Requirements & Background
• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM MST (Plus on-call/after-hours rotation)
• Hours: Standard 40 hours per week
• Availability: Must participate in a weekly on-call rotation to address after-hours incidents and be available for scheduled maintenance windows or emergency response outside of standard business hours.
• Compliance Training: Must complete mandatory information security training, including acceptable use of data and IT resource policies, within 30 days of the contract start date.
• Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, identity verification, sanctions screening, and drug screening.

Required / Desired Skills
• Palo Alto Firewalls (Zones, Security Policies, S2S VPN, NAT, Threat Prevention) Required - 3 Years
• Cisco ASA Firewalls (Configuration, rule management, legacy CLI/ASDM troubleshooting) Required - 2 Years
• General Networking Foundations (Routing protocols, subnetting, VLANs, OSI model) Required - 3 Years
• Hardware Lifecycle & Refresh (Decommissioning and replacing EOL network hardware) Required - 2 Years
• IRS, FBI, and CJI Compliance (Implementing strict security controls to meet these specific standards) Required - 2 Years
