The Vascular Lab Lead is accountable to manage the activities and procedures of the vascular labs to provide quality patient care. This position oversees a variety of non-invasive tests used to measure blood flow to help diagnose vascular conditions in patients. This position is also capable of performing exams that look for problems with circulation in the arteries (blood vessels taking blood away from the heart) or veins (blood vessels bringing blood back toward the heart).


Essential Job Function:

  • Prepares and maintains documentation for the Vascular Ultrasound Lab accreditations in collaboration with the Medical Director and Practice Administrator to ensure the lab meets industry standards and fosters trust in the lab's capabilities and quality of care.
  • Performs exams of arteries and veins as appropriate, ensuring accurate and precise assessments of patients' vascular conditions to diagnose and monitor patients' vascular health and guide appropriate treatment plans.
  • Oversees the completion of vascular exams, analyzing test data accurately and effectively communicating findings to vascular physicians to enable appropriate patient care decisions.
  • Ensures quality assurance on all cardiovascular equipment, ensuring the equipment's reliability and accuracy for precise diagnosis and treatment.
  • Confirms that all vascular diagnostic reports are completed and distributed in a timely manner to ensure timely communication of critical information to physicians and patients.
  • Performs administrative duties, including scheduling patient procedures, maintaining procedure manuals, and managing lab records to optimize workflow and facilitate smooth operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.


Experience:

  • Required: 2 years


Licensure/Certification/Listing:

  • Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist ( RVT) administered by ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) administered by CCI Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
