About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for State Government Affairs to lead and shape the enterprise-wide state strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing complex, multistate advocacy strategies across diverse political and regulatory environments. This role involves providing senior-level leadership and strategic guidance for government affairs engagement, overseeing the state-level corporate political contributions budget, and collaborating extensively with various internal and external partners to advance the company's policy positions. The Executive Director will also be a primary representative of the company in external policy forums and will be expected to advise senior leadership and prepare executive-level briefings. Candidates for this position should have a Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree with a significant amount of experience in government affairs, public policy, or multi-state advocacy, and a strong background in managerial or leadership roles. Preferred qualifications include experience in managing budgets, resources, and cross-functional initiatives, as well as a proven track record in leading complex, multi-state legislative and policy strategies. The role requires the ability to operate as a subject matter expert, influence enterprise decision-making, and drive cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate will have an external presence in trade associations and policy forums and experience in supporting government affairs strategies tied to manufacturing or operational site priorities.
