About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Counterparty Credit Risk Oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of counterparty credit risk, including non-lending exposures to financial institutions, public sector entities, sovereigns, and vendors. This role involves overseeing the credit review process, supervising a team of credit analysts, and maintaining the department's credit review schedule. The VP will also be tasked with monitoring counterparty credit quality, assessing credit risks, and ensuring the credit risk management system is functioning properly. Interaction with various internal business units and coordination of the team's response to audits and risk assessments are also key responsibilities. Applicants should have 7-10 years' experience in commercial credit analysis or counterparty credit risk oversight within a financial institution, with a strong background in financial statement analysis. Knowledge of counterparty credit risk management practices, including regulatory guidance, and experience with OTC capital markets products is essential. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to establish proactive, constructive dialogues and partnerships. The VP will be expected to stay current on industry trends and assist in the development of credit risk management reports and metrics for enterprise risk management.
