About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership, responsible for strategic leadership, donor relations, revenue growth, grants leadership, data management, communications, board engagement, and operations. This role requires a passionate individual with a genuine commitment to the mission, who can lead the development department in achieving fundraising goals, increasing the donor base, and building strong relationships with sponsors, foundations, and individual donors. The VP of Development will also be involved in fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the department, as well as providing mentorship and performance management for the development staff. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role within a high-performing nonprofit organization. The role demands a proven track record in securing significant gifts and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically. Experience with CRM systems, such as Raiser’s Edge, is essential. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree, and the ability to manage responsibilities and staff remotely is highly valued.
