Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

• 24 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience with IABP and IVUS.

Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. At least 1 reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Can only apply to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system. Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility. Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years. Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years. Travel teams must be submitted together.

Unit Details: Interventional cath lab/IR setting. RN is required to administer medications and perform the circulator/monitor role. Uses Cupid and Xper. Uses Philips telemetry; unit is hardwired at the bedside. Uses Omnicell; some medications are mixed in the lab and others by pharmacy. 3-man team (2 RNs and 1 tech). Adult cardiac patient population only; peripheral procedures, cardiac cath, PCI, device cases, ICDs, and pacers. No EP or ablations. Uses Acist injector; will teach if needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Call requirement: Monday-Friday 1530-0700, average 15 days per month; call days may decrease as permanent staff is added. Weekend call coverage: Sat/Sun 0700-0700. Holidays covered by 7-7 call.

Floating Requirements: Could be floated to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IVs.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
