Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (TX) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (TX) CommonSpirit Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: RNs must be able to read strips.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. No previous employment allowed at this facility. 12 hour shifts; scheduling is by manager, and block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Unit Details: Transitioned to VIC (virtual integrated care nursing model). Common diagnoses/types of patients include CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD, and Med/Surg Tele. Uses Paragon. Cpap, Bipap, and high flow patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Must work the schedule given. Every other weekend required. Holidays are required.

Floating Requirements: Will float to all Med/Surg units.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
